The Basic Concepts Course is not just a mere set of teachings thrown together in a haphazard way. It was inspired and very carefully guided by the Holy Spirit to produce a complete and progressive whole for new believers.
Although the BCC is very simple to read and follow, it is not a simplistic work. It contains the best of what Reformed Theology has to offer. In fact, one of the most difficult tasks was to take complex Theological concepts like the Trinity, Justification by faith, Sanctification, Glorification, Kingdom, Restoration, Covenant, Authority, Faith, the Gifts etc. and to simplify them.
Many standard Systematic Theological works were consulted as well as material from the foremost authorities worldwide. Again, this was not just an academic research exercise; it was a personal, living progressive development over a great number of years.
